Safeguarding Children

Church of Our Savior has enrolled in the Safeguarding God's Children, a program and policy of the Diocese to protect both our children and youth, and our committed and compassionate volunteers.  We regularly review our practices and aim to
be in compliance at all times.

We want to assure our parents that we want Church of Our Savior to be a safe place for children, teens and adults--physically, emotionally and spiritually.   If you become aware of any potential hazards, please
speak up immediately.  Yes, we may already know about the concern and be working to make it right--but we might not have noticed the matter.  It takes all of us working together in order for us to be diligent and
consistent.  Thank you.

Our guidelines address screening of those who work with or around children or youth, a program of four hours of training, and protocols for providing an appropriate number of trained adults for each ministry event with children and youth (usually a minimum of two trained persons for each activity grouping of children or youth).
